Culver Boys and Girls Varsity both enjoyed wins over Lakeland Christian Academy on Friday night. The JV squad played 2 quarters the night before and lost a close one in OverTime, 24-28. John Carr led the JV boys with 16 points. On Friday night, the Varsity boys trailed for most of the first half; down 2 going into the second quarter as well as halftime. They found themselves tied at 26 with 5:50 left in the 3rd. The Cavs finally found a lead at the end of the third (34-32) and never looked back. The boys held Lakeland Christian scoreless in the 4th quarter and were able to lock in their first win of the season with a 43-32 victory. Senior Logan Caudill was the leading scorer for the Cavilers with 16 points. Freshman Braylon Jackson also found himself in double digits with 10 points, Caleb McCuen added 8. The Culver Cavilers will be back in action on Saturday, December 14th at home vs. Elkhart Christian Academy.
