Cavaliers Split Baseball Doubleheader with North Judson

The Cavs traveled to North Judson this morning and came away with a split in their doubleheader with the Bluejays. In Game 1, the Jays jumped out to an early 9-0 lead, but the Cavs were able to claw back into it scoring 8 runs in the last 3 innings. North Judson was able to hold on for the 11-8 win. Hunter Albert went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and Kyler Weiger went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI to lead the Cavs on offense. In Game 2, North Judson got on the board first with a home run in the 3rd, but the Cavs responded by scoring runs in each of the last 4 innings to get the 6-2 win over the Bluejays. Jonas McCuen struck out 15 batters, putting him at 84 for the season. He and Caleb only allowed 3 hits for the game. On offense, the Cavs were led by Drake Zorich, who went a perfect 3-3 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Caleb McCuen went 2-3 with a double and 2 runs scored. The Cavs will be in action next on Wednesday for Senior Night against the Oregon-Davis Bobcats.
